Skoleengen Shelters

Skoleengen Shelters is a shelter site by Kirkestien in Strøby on Stevns, beautifully situated above Tryggevælde Ådal. The shelters are set in a secluded, sheltered spot behind the sports ground and offer a fine view over the valley. Skoleengen is characteristic of the meadows in Tryggevælde Ådal with an upper, dry section and a lower, wet section with many interesting plants. The area is rich in birdlife, and among the species that can be encountered are marsh harrier, falcon and nightingale.
