Ravnsborg Voldsted lies close to the coast in Ravnsby Bakker on the northern shore of Lolland facing Smålandshavet. Count John the Mild of Holstein built a castle here in 1330 as the seat of his domain over Lolland. Queen Margrethe I acquired the castle in 1400; it then served as a royal residence until demolition around 1510. Today the castle mound rises 18 metres above sea level. Free access with information boards on site.
