Basnæs Havn
📍 Dybsøvej, 4700 Næstved
Basnæs Harbour is a small fishing settlement on Dybsø Fjord on the south Zealand coast between Næstved and Vordingborg. The harbour lies on the edge of the Basnæs estate, facing the shallow fjord — one of Denmark's cleanest — which is home to rich birdlife and wildlife. Here you can see the characteristic flat-bottomed fishing boats and experience the quiet of a harbour still used for fishing. The area around Dybsø Fjord is part of a larger natural landscape of coastal meadows and reed beds that attracts migratory birds in spring and autumn — bring binoculars for a good chance of spotting herons and waders. The harbour is reached via Dybsøvej.
